Myotherapy & what I treat
What is Myotherapy?
Myotherapy is the assessment and skillful hands-on treatment of injuries, muscular pain and stiffness affecting movement, mobility and quality of life
Why is Myotherapy better??
Myotherapy takes the clinical knowledge of a sports physiotherapist and combines it with the hands-on treatment of a skilled remedial massage therapist.
This makes for a therapist that can assess your injury and help relieve pain. I as a Myotherapist are also highly trained in dry needling – a technique using acupuncture needles to treat muscular pain and stiffness.
I do love prescribing rehabilitation exercises these are tailored to your individual needs, capabilities, time and equipment restraints.
I treat pain coming from areas such as sprains in ligaments, tears in tendons, nerve pain in the legs and hands. The management of long-term joint and muscular pain is a very common cause of people seeking treatments. By looking at your pain from a neuroscience approach (brain causing the pain) I’ll be able to help you take control of your recovery, learning how to manage and work through your pain.
I believe Myotherapy is an awesome, cost-effective alternative to other therapies.
